Matt is third-year PhD student. He received a BA in economics and environmental science from the University of Virginia in 2016 where he specialized in environmental and biological conservation. After graduation he worked for a year as a research assistant investigating the effect of ground water pollution on economic and health outcomes in Rajasthan, India.
His current research interests focus on the use of machine learning and Bayesian statistics to understand resource usage and water scarcity in developing nations.
