DESCRIPTION: CIESIN contributed to climate resilience planning in East Africa in a project funded by USAID. Within a larger projected operated by ARD-Tetra Tech, CIESIN carried out assessments of user needs in the region and a baseline assessment of climate information providers. CIESIN utilized these assessments to help design, with other PREPARED partners, a climate information system for the region.

OUTCOMES: Climate Information System needs assessment, gap analysis, design specifications.
