Earth Institute Postdoctoral Diversity Fellowship

Earth Institute Postdoctoral Diversity Fellowship

The Earth Institute Postdoctoral Research program is pleased to announce the creation of a Diversity Fellowship for appointments beginning in September 2020. Thanks to a generous bequest, the incoming scholar will be awarded the Kelley A. Hill Fellowship in 2020-2022.

The Earth Institute Postdoctoral Diversity Fellowship seeks to promote the recruitment of outstanding postdoctoral scholars from underrepresented groups, to more closely reflect the composition of the national pool of qualified candidates. The program strongly encourages applications from promising scholars from historically underrepresented groups, including but not limited to: Blacks/African-Americans; Hispanics; Native Americans/Alaska Natives; persons having origins in any of the original peoples of Hawaii, Guam, or Samoa.

The principal selection criteria are: educational and professional merit; relevance and strength of research proposal; quality of recommendations; relevance of proposed research to the Earth Institute’s mission; and current needs and priorities of the Earth Institute.

Candidates must indicate their interest in the fellowship on their application to the Earth Institute Postdoctoral Research program.
