With the Mayoral election drawing closer, this panel explored the progression of PlaNYC:2030, New York City’s sustainability plan, from its inception through today, with a focus on what’s next for the Office of Long-Term Planning and Sustainability in the post-Bloomberg era. The discussion highlighted the opportunities and challenges that a changing administration can present for programs that have been championed by Mayor Bloomberg. Taking lessons learned from other cities across the globe, the panel discussed how NYC can continue its path of urban sustainability leadership.
