The Earth Institute Fellows Symposium: Meeting the Challenges of Sustainable Development in a Changing World

Speaker: James Tamerius

We used a recently developed record of indoor temperature and humidity from 326 households in New York City to examine the relationship between indoor and outdoor conditions. We then assessed the variability of this relationship across seasons while accounting for socio-economic and architectural design factors. These results can be used to inform studies of health outcomes for which temperature humidity is an established factor affecting human health, and may also indicate future avenues of research.
