Professor José
Goldemberg
is the Secretary of the Environment, São Paulo.
He earned his Ph.D.
in Physical Science from University de São Paulo at which
he is Full Professor and former Rector. He has served as the President
of the Brazilian Association for the Advancement of Science, President
of the Energy Company of the State of São Paulo (CESP), Secretary
of State for Science and Technology, Secretary of the Environment
and Minister of State of Education of the Federal Government of
Brazil. He has authored many technical papers and books on Nuclear
Physics, Environment and Energy.
