Environmental and Sustainable Development Career Opportunities

The Earth Institute, affiliated with over 28 environmental and sustainable development programs at Columbia University, is dedicated to furthering environmental and sustainable development education programs and to supporting students and faculty in those programs. This site was created as a comprehensive source of information on sustainable development and environmentally-focused jobs and opportunities. The events and resources on this site are designed to help you in your career search no matter what your sustainable development and environmental foci are.

Here, you can find information on upcoming environmental career events brought to you by the Earth Institute, often in collaboration with affiliated departments and career centers across campus. These events bring environment and sustainable development professionals onto campus to connect with students and help them learn more about potential career paths.

The Earth Institute has also coordinated with the career centers at each school within the University to provide a list of resources on environmental careers. Through this site, students have the opportunity to connect with alumni and resources from such diverse programs as environmental law, environmental health sciences, sustainable development and environmental science and policy, among others.
